Old Burying Ground in Halifax, Nova Scotia, August 2009

The Old Burying Ground in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. The cemetery was founded the same year as the city, in 1749. It contains the resting places of 12,000 people, the last of whom was buried there in 1843.
